So far this year has went well we had our first joint meeting in Oct. and since then

I have noticed a marked change in the interface between the different organizations. This should be very positive for the Post. I want to personally thank all those who came out and helped repair the picnic shelter. We accomplished something that has been needed for a long time and had some fun doing it. Remember Dec. 13th is the day Charles Batchelor is doing the Christmas boxes, so come out and help if you can; we need people to deliver the boxes. I want to wish all our members a very special, safe and happy holiday season, and may your next year be a great one.

Hope all of you had a great, and safe July 4

A special thanks to the members of SASS for the great job they did in cleaning the Hall after their June fund raiser.

Our next dance is scheduled to be held on Saturday August 16th from 8:00 to Midnight with doors opening at 7:00, but is still up in the air for the immediate future. The band we had scheduled had to cancel, we are currently looking for a replacement so watch the information board in the Club room for updates. You may also contact the Club room for updates.

Remember we are doing Karaoke on Wednesday and Friday nights now, and having a great time with it. We need a wider range of participation to make it even better. So if you have some Karaoke CDs, or you don’t, but still want to participate come on out and join us. You don’t have to be able to sing (the rest of us can’t) remember its’ not about singing good it’s all about good fun.

Unfortunately we are having to raise prices in the Club Room due to increases from our suppliers. The new prices will take effect August 1

Every day except Wednesdays all domestic beer will be $2.00 and all imports will be $2.75,Wednesdays all domestic beer will be $1.50 with imports remaining at regular prices. There will be no changes in the prices of mixed drinks for the time being.

Always check the white board in the entrance, the other bulletin boards and the illuminated Boards in the Club Room for updates, and changes to the schedules.

As your newly elected Commander I want to assure each of you I will do my very best to make the next year a very productive and positive year. As a Legion family we have some definite challenges facing us over the next year, but if we work together as a team I’m confident we will prevail. We took our first step toward this goal at our regular meeting Monday night July 21

We currently have 436 regular members in our post, however participation is far less than this, please make an effort to attend our meetings, and participate in our activities. If you require assistance attending any Legion event please contact Cordie Dorman the Service Officer to coordinate your individual needs.

Respectfully,

st. I asked, and received permission from the membership to hold a joint meeting once each quarter with the Ladies Auxiliary, and the Sons of A Legionnaire also attending our regular meeting. To put it simple this will let our right hand know what our left hand is doing instead of all three entities going in different directions, sometimes duplicating the same efforts unnecessarily.
